A large fire burned a marshy area near hwys C and I
today. Waupun and Burnett fire depts. as well as the
U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service fought the fire for over
an hour before getting the blaze under control. While no
structures were threatened by the blaze, a large deer
stand was saved after briefly catching fire.
